    Do you want to join the Amazon Devices team in Europe? Interested in working in a high impact role? Amazon Devices is looking for an analytical, customer-obsessed and results-oriented Demand manager to manage online and offline supply planning for Devices in Europe. This position is essential to the continued growth of Amazon’s Devices division in Europe as it continues its fast paced growth and expansion of its portfolio of Kindle e-readers, Fire Tablets, Fire TVs, Echo products and accessories.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Create and implement inventory allocation strategies to maximize inventory placement, turns, sales, and customer experience in conjunction with the larger Device team
    • Drive improvements to demand and supply planning processes over time, including identifying buying systems improvements and improving overall supply chain efficiency.
    • Become the EU Devices subject matter expert for demand planning, in-stock, supply chain, and multi-channel supply planning processes.
    • Management and ownership of total product lifecycle from new product launch to end of life
    • Own and communicate demand insights and supply allocation plans to key cross functional internal stakeholders

    Basic Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Previous experience in forecasting, demand/inventory planning, analytics and/or project management
    • Strong analytical abilities, and high proficiency creating and managing advanced models
    • Possess good business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Able to use formal and informal influencing skills across Amazon's cross-matrix organization
    • Outstanding attention to detail, without losing sight of the big picture
    • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
    • Able to use analysis tools like SQL and Excel Solver for optimization and simulation
    • Experience working with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
    • Retail or wholesale business experience -- a strong plus
