Job Description

Amazon, an international e-commerce leader, is looking for a high potential Logistics Manager to lead its transportation carriers for its fast growing delivery operations in Spain.
Location: Madrid.


- Owns a critical part of the customer experience by ensuring customer packages are being delivered within promise whilst using available resources more effectively
- Executes daily/weekly performance management metrics reviews for outbound transportation and derive improvement plans from it
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives with carriers, fulfilment centers, customer service and retail teams to improve customer experience, costs or processes
- Supports new project launches by taking ownership for the operational success
- Drives successful Q4 preparation and execution
- Ensures sufficient capacity is available in the network
- Supports the Operations Planning (OP) Process for performance and costs
- Prepares and leads recurrent Ops calls, daily business reviews, WBRs, QBRs, CS workshops
- Manages Transportation related escalations
- Drives root-cause analysis and the successful implementation of corrective actions with causing parties to improve service or cost, or to resolve a problem
- Maintains and improves communication flows with main stakeholders ensuring full visibility for transportation
- Advises Amazon leadership team proactively of critical situations along with the expected impact and mitigation actions planned
- Promotes and develop an atmosphere which is receptive and adaptable to business changes
- Promotes safe working practice, achieve and maintain high standards of health and safety

Basic Qualifications

- 6-10 years of experience gained in the Logistics/Supply Chain sector, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills and commercial understanding
- Performance management experience, a strong analytical mind and advanced Excel skills
- A degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar field
- Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English, ability to write reports
- A flexible and proactive approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Six Sigma/Lean experience
- Experience at a parcel carrier
