Amazon’s International Technology organization is expanding its software engineering team in Madrid. We are searching for smart and energetic Software Engineers in Test to solve complex technical problems.
Amazon strives to be Earth’s most customer-centric company, and the International Technology group (InTech) owns the enhancement and delivery of Amazon’s solutions to the varied customers and cultures of the world. We do this through a combination of partnerships with other Amazon technical teams and our own innovative new projects. We help each of our website businesses to deliver a thoughtful combination of Amazon known best practices and last-mile engineering driven by each country’s customers’ needs. Our work spans a technology stack from front-end customer experience to back-end service technology and has high visibility to senior leadership, with small teams owning significant services. And (of course!) InTech is itself international, with teams in Madrid, Luxembourg, and London.
InTech is creating a new software development team in Madrid, Spain under the Amazon Vendor Services program. AVS is a program to help vendors grow their business by improving their selection, availability, traffic, and conversion. The Madrid development team will be the AVS Business Technology team, and we will use big data analysis to diagnose vendors’ needs and opportunities. We will also develop a modular workflow that tailors an individualized operational plan, and assigns and tracks activities across vendors, Amazon vendor managers, and other support personnel. We will focus on our customers - the vendors and our vendor managers - by creating a simple, user-friendly experience with high availability and scalability. The team will develop technology across all layers of the technology stack, from our newest front-end customer-facing website platforms, to middle-layer microservices and back-end data stores.
At InTech, we’re looking for skilled Software Engineers in Test who will help change the way Amazon’s vendors and internal business users think about software. You will develop testing frameworks and automated tests across a wide range of systems. You will contribute to the end-to-end solution, from design and conception, through implementation, and into support and maintenance, ensuring a high level of quality throughout the process. You will work on large-scale, highly-available service-oriented architectures, and figure out how to break them. Finally, you will be a team contributor that can grow your impact. And most importantly, Amazon InTech is composed of many clever and intelligent people, so you'll learn a lot - and have a lot of fun!
